Lab 5

The way u can conver the number 110010101 to a decimal is by adding the number depending on what power they land on. Ur going to take the total of the power and add them all together and get a number. I'm going to add 256+128+16+4+1 to get the total of 110010101 which is 395. The way u get the number 529 to the other kind of number is by doing the opposite of what u did to the number. U have to divide it to where u ahve no numbers left over.

Modeling The World

I thought that the presentation was good. I'm really not interested in different things but i found it very interesting and i never would of thought of it. I liked the parts about when we as humans understand the signs without them being told to us. The parts about the plants and the growing progress. Also the part about the steps to solving a problem. I think we all do those steps without even thinking. The different things that he talked about were all good and very easy to understand.

Learning Unix

The wonderful world of computer is starting to unfold... Today in class we learned how to move ourselves around in unix. What i learned what that fact that u can look at the calender from years before or after. U can change ur shell type, i had a different one so i had to change it which wasn't that hard. Also i seen how u can look at ur information and somebosy else's.. which i might add was a little weird. To add to the learning, was the fact that i seen all the files i had already done on html and put on the web...

Lab

The lecture on information was such an eye opener. What i found most interesting was the fact that we relate certain things to ojects or events. I think that imformation does let us communicate better and allows for expanding. What i also found interesting was the paintings that had certain names under them...and the things with the car signs i think it was called the semiotics of road signs. The part about digital and analog was also cool it's weird to sit there and look at things like that. I've always liked looking at things differently and it's crazy how we look at things a certain way cuz of a color or the shape they are in.

Library of Babel

So today i read an article about a library. It's called the library of babel and I think that this article is everything interesting. I'm not one to read many articles and i thought that this information was something good to know. The fact that they can come up with a library like this is something that i would of never imagined. I would be intested in see it. It's crazy to see that you can actually make something that would have all these dimensions. The different things that come about when all the things are combined is so interesting. Everything in the library has something different which makes me want to know more. In the over all of the article i liked it alot and was very amuzed by everything. This article is at Infoport.
